The story of Connect Church begins in March 2014, when pastors Dan and Amber were living in Florida and serving in youth ministry. They decided to visit Lake Louise for their 10th wedding anniversary. During that week, they received a calling from God that Calgary would be their new home and that they should move here and plant a church. They relocated to YYC in July 2015.
Connect held its very first Sunday services at the CrossIron Mills Cineplex on September 11, 2016. For the next 3 years, the movie theatre becomes a central church hub for people from Airdrie, northwest and northeast Calgary.
The pandemic forced Connect to host online-only services from March 2020 until June 2021. During this time, the church focused on meeting tangible needs around the city. In this same season, God provided a building for our church's use!
In June 2021 we began to hold in-person services in our new building. We are incredibly blessed to have a place of our own to worship throughout the week!
The Mission Continues
Over the last 7 years, Connect has led countless people to faith in Christ and baptised 124 of them! But we are just getting started - We won't stop until every person in Calgary knows just how much God loves them.
WELCOME TO LIFE OVERFLOWING!
